Blue Ash is located in Hamilton County, just north of downtown Cincinnati. Named by the Carpenter’s Run Baptist Church in 1797 from the logs the church was built of, the blue ash tree. Today, Blue Ash has a daytime population of 55,000. It keeps a steady economy, with help from the nearly 2,000 businesses (including several Procter & Gamble facilities). The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport is a short 30 minute drive, giving a quality of convenience. Blue Ash is home to two summer events each year, which bring crowds of over 150,000 people. The first being the Taste of Blue Ash, and the second being the “Red, White, and Blue Ash” which is held annually in celebration of the 4th of July. The event brings the biggest Independence Day firework display in the region along with a concert, with the most notable act being Peter Frampton in 2010. The University of Cincinnati Raymond Walter’s Campus is also located in Blue Ash with nearly 5,000 students attending.
